Centrally located with easy access to various departments, the hospital is home to a comprehensive and closely integrated range of services, including the Department of Gastroenterology, the Department of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, palliative care, the Department of General and Visceral Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Orthopedics, Trauma Surgery, and Pediatric Orthopedics, Thoracic Surgery, the Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology, the Department of Spinal Surgery, as well as the divisions of Pain Management and Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology/Nuclear Medicine.
As part of a succession plan, we are seeking a candidate for this client, effective October 1, 2026, to serve as a
Senior Physician in Gastroenterology (m/f/d)
The Gastroenterology Department treats just over 2,000 inpatients. The department has 45 beds and, using state-of-the-art equipment, offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (including ERCP, PTC, interventional endosonography, and capsule endoscopy), as well as ultrasound and functional diagnostics (impedance pH-metry and manometry).
Professional development and continuing education are promoted and supported through internal events—including tumor board and complications conferences—as well as generous time off and coverage of expenses for participation in external events.
We are seeking a professionally competent gastroenterologist who already has some experience in a leadership role. A patient-centered approach, strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of cross-departmental organization, and the ability to think entrepreneurially form the foundation for the sustainable development of our department.
A trusting and respectful approach toward colleagues and private practice physicians is just as essential as a strong connection to the region.
