Our client operates an academic teaching hospital within the Jena University Hospital system that provides primary and standard care, with 164 authorized beds. The hospital is publicly funded by Kreiswerke Schmalkalden-Meiningen GmbH. In the departments of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, General, Visceral, and Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, Internal Medicine—Gastroenterology and Pulmonology, Internal Medicine—Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, palliative care, radiology, and an affiliated ophthalmology department, approximately 7,000 inpatients and 20,000 outpatients (m/f/d) are treated annually.
The hospital offers specialized expertise through its centers, where decisions are made and collaboration takes place across medical disciplines—with short communication channels—for the benefit of patients: a Trauma Center, a Geriatric Trauma Center (ATZ), and a joint colorectal cancer center with a hospital in the immediate region. You will be responsible for the nursing and operations department, which has approximately 300 employees. As a member of the hospital’s management team, you will play a key role in the strategic and organizational development of our hospital and will work closely and in a spirit of trust with the executive board and the human resources department. Thanks to your professional and interpersonal expertise, you are able to rethink nursing and explore innovative approaches.
Human resources management, as well as the development of new tools for recruitment and employee development, are key focuses of your responsibilities, as is the efficient allocation of personnel. You ensure compliance with guidelines, care standards, and legal requirements; are responsible for budget planning and adherence in nursing and support services; and advise management on all matters related to nursing care.

- You have completed nursing training and hold a degree in nursing management or a comparable qualification
- several years of professional experience and prior experience in a leadership role, and are proficient in using workforce planning tools
