Our municipal client operates a modern specialized psychosomatic clinic with over 150 acute care beds, and the clinic’s management follows an approach that combines a psychodynamic understanding with humanistic and systemic methods, supplementing “talking therapy” with a comprehensive range of nonverbal therapeutic options. A favorable doctor-to-patient ratio enables intensive and sustainable care. In the evaluation, including a one-year follow-up, our client has so far demonstrated excellent treatment outcomes.

Senior Attending Physician in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Chief Physician—ensuring the provision of medical services at the Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, patient care, and therapeutic work in accordance with the latest medical standards
  • In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer—providing entrepreneurial leadership of the clinic with a focus on efficiency and economic considerations, as well as actively managing and participating in projects aimed at further developing the clinic’s structures and those of the entire facility
  • Together with the Chief of Medicine—management and further development of the entire clinic and the individual departments/wards, comprising physicians (Chief of Medicine, Deputy Chief of Medicine, 4 senior physicians, 1 specialist, 11.5 resident physicians), nurses, and support staff, with a focus on performance, motivation, and fairness, as well as ensuring cross-departmental training and continuing education with the goal of long-term employee retention
  • Integration into the hospital team; close collaboration with colleagues on both professional and business matters; close cooperation with other professional groups; joint pursuit of the hospital’s strategic and business objectives
  • In collaboration with the Chief Physician—Intensive market development to attract patients by further expanding a consistent, sustainable network of relationships with referring hospitals and colleagues, including, where appropriate, informational events, support groups, etc.

Your profile:

  • Specialist in Psychosomatic Medicine
  • Training in depth psychology or behavioral therapy is required; additional training in humanistic and/or systemic approaches is desirable
  • Extensive clinical experience with various therapeutic approaches
  • A high level of commitment, flexibility, and organizational skills
  • A responsible work ethic, good intuition, warmth, and the ability to integrate

We are seeking a specialist in psychosomatic medicine who is both professionally and personally outstanding, and who will competently lead the acute care clinic alongside the chief physician and help further develop it—both structurally and in terms of its programs—from a medical and economic perspective.

Treatment is provided by a highly motivated and qualified therapeutic team. The hospital’s work environment is characterized by short lines of communication and collegial, interdisciplinary collaboration.

We are seeking a professionally competent deputy chief physician who already has sufficient experience in a senior or specialist medical position. A patient-centered approach, strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of cross-departmental organization, and the ability to think entrepreneurially form the foundation for the sustainable growth of the department.

A trusting and respectful approach toward colleagues and private-practice physicians is expected.

140,000–220,000 EUR/year
