For the Department of Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy, we are looking for a
Senior Physician in Psychosomatic Medicine and/or Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (f/m/d)
In the Department of Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy, which has a total of 120 beds, our patients receive support in managing their psychosomatic conditions. Accurate diagnostics, skilled therapists, and a comprehensive range of therapeutic options all contribute to this.
Your responsibilities will include providing psychosomatic and psychotherapeutic care to our patients as part of a dedicated and experienced multidisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to further develop, apply, and expand your own experience and qualifications in psychosomatic and psychotherapeutic treatment methods through ongoing, guided professional exchange within the team.
Our client’s therapeutic approach is an interdisciplinary, integrative one with a psychodynamic focus, offering individual and group therapy based on an interactional model and grounded in a comprehensive health model. You will work in a multiprofessional setting with close ties to the nursing staff to achieve a comprehensive understanding of our patients’ needs and, thereby, the best possible treatment outcomes. In addition to general psychosomatic care, the treatment of trauma-related disorders and somatoform syndromes is a particular area of focus. Social-medical issues are part of your daily work and are also addressed in an interdisciplinary manner.
The following topics, in particular, are part of your work
- Psychosomatic and psychotherapeutic care for our patients (conducting discussion groups, individual therapy, and group psychotherapy as indicated)
- Psychiatric treatment for patients, as needed
- Preparing Social-Medical Assessments
- Treatment of conditions across the entire spectrum of psychosomatic medicine
- Psychoeducation, e.g., patient seminars
- Regular participation in continuing education, team supervision, and case conferences
