On behalf of the HR consulting firm ESiS Medical we are seeking a dedicated leader to serve as Head of the Geriatrics Department (gn) for an established municipal hospital network in Upper Bavaria.
The hospital network has approximately 2,800 employees and 639 beds and plays a central role in regional healthcare. Following a successfully completed transformation process, the facility now offers stable structures, clear prospects for growth, and a modern medical environment.
At the Center for Geriatric Medicine, you’ll have the opportunity to further develop acute geriatric care from a professional, organizational, and strategic perspective and to play an active role in shaping the future of geriatrics within the network.

Your qualifications:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Continuing Education in Geriatrics
- Several years of clinical experience in acute geriatrics
- First leadership role as a senior physician or in a comparable position
- In-depth knowledge of comprehensive geriatric care
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- A strong patient-centered approach and a leadership philosophy based on respect
- Interest in the strategic development of a modern geriatric unit
Your Responsibilities
- Medical and Administrative Director of the Geriatrics Section
- Ensuring high-quality acute geriatric care
- Responsibility for early geriatric rehabilitation and the corresponding treatment plans
- Professional Leadership and Professional Development of Medical Staff
- Supervision and Support for Resident Physicians
- Active participation in multidisciplinary case conferences
- Design and Optimization of Clinical Processes and Quality Standards
- Further Development of Geriatric Services in Light of Current Health Policy and Structural Requirements
- Close collaboration with the internal medicine departments and the pulmonary early rehabilitation program
