In the departments of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, General, Visceral, and Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, Internal Medicine—Gastroenterology and Pulmonology, Internal Medicine—Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, palliative care, radiology, and an affiliated ophthalmology department, approximately 7,000 inpatients and 20,000 outpatients (m/f/d) are treated annually.

Senior Attending Physician in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology (m/f/d)
The Department of Gastroenterology and Medical Oncology offers a wide range of internal medicine treatments. In addition to gastroenterology and hepatology outpatient clinics, the department also provides services in nutritional medicine and infectious diseases. Care is provided through a multidisciplinary approach and includes collaboration within a joint colorectal cancer center.
An endoscopy unit and an ultrasound unit are available for diagnostic purposes. The range of services includes diagnostic and interventional endoscopy as well as bariatric endoscopy. A 24/7 endoscopy on-call service ensures care is available even for acute cases.
Your Responsibilities
- Expansion and Further Development of the Gastroenterology Clinic
- Ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with applicable medical standards
- Training and supervision of resident physicians and medical staff
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments and professional groups
- Strategic and conceptual development of the clinic, taking into account medical innovations and economic considerations
- Quality management, process optimization, and the further development of treatment standards and guidelines
- Leadership, motivation, and professional development of the medical and nursing teams
- Participation in the chief physician on-call rotation at the Department of Anesthesiology
- Responsibility for the budget and resources
Your Profile
- Medical license (m/f/d) and certification as a specialist in internal medicine and gastroenterology
- You have extensive clinical experience in the field of gastroenterology
- Comprehensive clinical experience across the entire spectrum of gastroenterology
- You are committed to continuously advancing your expertise through continuing education and professional development
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team within an interdisciplinary setting
