Our client is a well-established provider of high-quality primary care in Saxony-Anhalt and an academic teaching hospital affiliated with Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
The range of medical services includes, among others, the Department of Internal Medicine, which specializes in cardiology and gastroenterology; the Department of Surgery, which covers general and visceral surgery, trauma and reconstructive surgery as well as orthopedics, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. These services are complemented by an interdisciplinary emergency department and a center for vascular medicine. An on-site radiology practice is equipped with CT and MRI scanners.

Chief Physician (m/f/d) in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
Your Responsibilities
In this position of responsibility, you will assume the clinical, organizational, and strategic leadership of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. You will play an active role in shaping its future development, working closely with the hospital’s other medical departments.
- Professional and organizational management of the clinic, as well as its ongoing development
- Leadership and Development of the Medical Team
- Structured continuing education for resident physicians in the specialty of anesthesiology
- Close interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly at the interfaces with the operating room, intensive care, and the surgical departments
- Ensuring patient-centered, high-quality medical care
- Helping to shape and further develop structures and processes within the clinic
Active participation in the on-call system is encouraged.
Your Profile
You are a board-certified specialist (m/f/d) in anesthesiology and have several years of experience, as well as, ideally, relevant leadership experience in anesthesiology and/or critical care medicine.
- Subspecialty in Critical Care Medicine
- Additional Certification or Advanced Training in Emergency Medicine
- Leadership skills and a passion for helping a medical team grow
- Strong social and communication skills
- a strong sense of responsibility and a patient-centered approach
- Willingness to engage in constructive and interdisciplinary collaboration
