Summary of the Position:
The position involves serving as a senior attending physician with shared responsibility for the Department of General Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Diabetology, with a clinical focus on interventional endoscopy.
Department Profile:
The Department of General Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Diabetology has 55 beds and covers the entire spectrum of conservative internal medicine, with a particular focus on gastroenterological and hepatological diseases. A key area of focus is diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
The department is an integral part of the hospital’s overall internal medicine structure and works closely with the surgical disciplines, oncology, and other departments. It participates in interdisciplinary tumor conferences and collaborates with colleagues in private practice.
In addition to inpatient care, the department offers outpatient services, including a KV office. The department participates in the training of medical students as well as in clinical-scientific projects within the hospital network. The staff consists of a chief physician, several senior physicians, and resident physicians; in terms of nursing and operational support, the unit is well-structured.

Education:
A degree in human medicine with board certification in internal medicine and gastroenterology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Several years of experience as a senior physician, ideally with leadership experience
- Extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological and hepatological diseases
- Excellent endoscopic expertise, including ERCP and EUS
- Experience in supervising and providing continuing education for medical staff
- A structured and responsible approach to work
- Organizational skills and business acumen
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate across disciplines
Language Skills:
Proficiency in spoken and written German at a professional level
Salary:
140,000–220,000 EUR/year
