As part of an age-related succession plan, we are seeking a candidate for this client, to start on October 1, 2026, or later, for the position of
Department Head/Chief of Pulmonology (m/f/d)
The Department of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine covers the entire spectrum of pulmonology. A key focus is on obstructive airway diseases such as COPD, bronchial asthma, and pulmonary emphysema. Interstitial lung diseases and malignant lung diseases are also among the department’s main areas of expertise. To this end, the department has a state-of-the-art pulmonary function laboratory equipped with pulse oscillometry, Feno, and provocation tests, as well as a fully equipped bronchoscopy unit featuring a cryoprobe, miniprobe, endobronchial ultrasound, and rigid bronchoscopy, including stent implantation.
Another major focus is on non-invasive home ventilation; we have a home ventilation unit for this purpose. Finally, an integral part of successful long-term treatment in this area is providing in-depth education and training to our patients and their families.
We are seeking a highly qualified pulmonologist who already has experience in a leadership role. A patient-centered approach, strong interpersonal skills, and an understanding of cross-departmental organization—combined with an entrepreneurial mindset—form the foundation for the sustainable growth of our department.
A trusting and respectful approach to colleagues and private practitioners is just as essential as a sense of connection to the region.
We offer a long-term leadership position with significant opportunities to shape the role, in a pleasant work environment, and with compensation commensurate with the position’s importance.
